How to Drink Fruit Juices to Lose Weight
Following a juice diet, also known as a juice fast, is a form of a raw diet, which supports weight loss and prevents obesity. Proponents believe this form of cleansing can be beneficial to the body. By drinking only fruit juices, your body will flush out toxins, and be replenished with needed nutrients. According to Paul and Patricia Bragg, authors of "The Miracle of Fasting," fasting is an option for flushing out "poisons" that are in your body. Bragg believes that fasting is the best option for restoring your health. While a juice fast has benefits, it also comes with side effects. You may feel drowsy, nauseous, and experience headaches and diarrhea. While these side effects are not comforting, keep in mind that your body is going through a process that takes time and energy.

Step 1
Make a list of fruits that you enjoy, and purchase them. Make sure that all fruits are organic, and wash them thoroughly.
Step 2
Record your body weight, so you can track your progress at the end of the diet.
Step 3
Find a juicer that is made specifically for juicing fruit and vegetables. While a blender can also act as a juicing machine, it will not completely liquefy the fruit.
Step 4
Create a menu of juices that you will be consuming for four days. You should be drinking juice throughout the day, along with water.
Step 5
Record every juice drink you consume and how many fruits are in each drink, for future reference. Because the fruits do not have any chemicals or preservatives, and you are using a juicing machine, the juices should be easily digestible.
Step 6
Weigh yourself at the end of the four days and slowly add solid foods back into your diet.

Tip
Remember to start this diet with a four-day plan. If, after four days, you feel energized and healthy, you may chose to continue this diet, after consulting your doctor. When the diet is completed, begin to eat grains, vegetables, nuts and seeds to ease the transition back into normal foods. You must commit to following a healthy diet after the fast, to avoid sudden weight gain.
Warning
Remember to also drink water. Consult your physician prior to beginning a new diet.
