Can I Lose Weight in Ten Days?

Losing 10 pounds in 10 days is not impossible; however, it will not be easy. Your body must burn 3,500 calories to lose a single pound of weight. Multiply that figure by 10, and you will see that it is virtually impossible to burn the 35,000 calories needed to lose 10 pounds in such a short amount of time. By combining a few dietary strategies with some helpful supplements, you can reach your 10-pound weight-loss goal in a very short amount of time.

    Step 1

Start your 10-day diet with a one- to three-day fast, following Paul C. Bragg's advice. In his book "The Miracle of Fasting," he explains that fasting can be an effective means of cleansing the body of toxins and losing unwanted body weight.

    Step 2

Drink 2 tbsp. apple cider vinegar, mixed with one packet of stevia sweetener and 8 oz. water. Drink this combination three to five times a day to eliminate hunger and help with the process of losing weight.

    Step 3

Use a natural diuretic product, which can be purchased from your local health retailer. Fitness athletes use diuretics to achieve that shredded look, by eliminating unwanted water weight. Xpel and Cuts II are good examples of natural diuretic products. Do not use the artificial products, which can be much more dangerous, causing dehydration and/or diarrhea.

    Step 4

Do cardiovascular exercise for 30 to 60 minutes, two or three times per day, depending on your fitness level. The more intense the exercise, the more calories--and ultimately weight--you will burn off.

    Step 5

Eat five or six smaller meals throughout the day. For example, try eating three small regular meals with 20 to 30 g protein at each, along with two or three protein shakes in between. Total calories must be reduced below your usual intake to achieve fast weight loss. A low-carbohydrate diet can help you lose body weight faster than other means, according to the "Abs Diet" book. Eat one 50 g serving of carbohydrates, such as 1 cup of oatmeal, first thing in the morning, avoiding carbs for the rest of the day.

    Step 6

Purchase some whey protein powder or a liquid amino acid supplement to use as pre- and post-workout nutrition, or for convenient meals on the go.
