    2 Week Detox Diet

You can use detoxification diets for rapid weight loss or to cleanse your digestive system to improve energy. Signals that your body is ready for a detox include: fatigue, lethargy, allergies, insomnia, headaches, recurring colds and indigestion. Several detox diets are available and they are generally strict about foods or liquids allowed. There is controversy concerning the long-term effect these diets have on the body.

Fourteen-Day Fruit and Vegetable Detox Diet

The 14-Day Fruit and Vegetable Detox Diet allows the dieter to eat any amount she desires for two weeks. This diet, which consists of only raw fruits and raw vegetables, is an all-natural approach to cleansing the system. The goal of the diet is to allow the dieter to lose weight and feel more energetic.

    Two-Week Lemonade Diet

The Two-Week Lemonade Diet requires the dieter to consume only lemonade, tea and water for two weeks. You must make the lemonade from fresh-squeezed lemons and purified water. For energy, add maple syrup and cayenne pepper. The morning routine requires you to drink salt water to flush your system. In the evening, you drink a laxative tea. The only other drinks allowed are purified water and peppermint tea. The purpose of the lemonade diet is to cleanse the system of impurities through a mobilization and elimination of toxins. If you do not want to make your own lemonade, a Master Tonic is available and claims to be made with the exact requirements of the diet.

    Women to Women Quick Cleanse

Women to Women Quick Cleanse is a detoxification program that allows you to eat all you want for two weeks. There are no calorie restrictions but your food choices must come from the approved list. The plan recommends three meals and two snacks each day. Some approved foods are those from lean protein, fresh fruits and vegetables, grape seed oil and extra-virgin olive oil. Using the glycemic load is necessary. If you are hypoglycemic, count your carbohydrates. Additional steps are required, such as, taking a fiber laxative daily and a probiotic before each meal.

According to Women to Women, the goal of this program is to progressively remove foods and food categories from your diet for two weeks. Then you can phase them back in and monitor how you feel. This allows you to judge how the food affects you.
