Lemon Juice Liver Cleanse
Your liver is the largest and heaviest organ in your body. It has a number of vital functions, including production of bile, maintaining fluid balance, storage of blood and metabolism of fat. Your body is exposed to harmful toxins on a daily basis that stem from environmental pollutants, artificial ingredients in foods, and drugs. When these toxins stay in your system for a long time, liver damage can occur. Cleansing the liver is very important to help keep it working properly. According to author of "Biologic Ionization As Applied to Human Nutrition," Dr. Alexander F. Beddoe, lemon juice can enhance the production of liver enzymes to break down proteins and flush out toxins.

Squeeze a lemon with the palm of your hand across a counter or table to soften it. Do this for five to six lemons.
Step 2
Cut the lemons in half and remove the seeds. Squeeze the lemons in a tall glass and stir. Don't add sugar to the lemon juice. Sugar will aggravate your pancreas and raise the production of uric acid in your body.
Step 3
Drink one glass of lemon juice in the morning and another glass in the evening. You can also drink 1/2 a glass of lemon juice with all your meals. This will help your stomach digest food.
Step 4
Eat a balanced and healthy diet and drink eight to 12 glasses of water every day when doing the cleanse. This lemon juice liver cleanse can be performed either over three days or seven days.
