Glycemic Index for Almonds
The glycemic index is a measurement of the effect that carbohydrates have on blood sugar. Eating too much food that has a high glycemic index may impact your ability to control your blood sugar over time. Being unable to control your blood sugar could lead to conditions such as diabetes and metabolic syndrome. The good news is, almonds will not affect your blood sugar.
