    Herbs to Reduce Breast Size

Nearly all breast reduction products contain the same herbal ingredients. While most of these products are marketed as all-natural, the Food and Drug Administration has not evaluated the claims of these supplement manufacturers, and there is no conclusive evidence that these individual herbs actually contribute to reducing breast size. You should always consult your doctor before engaging in any type of supplement regimen.

    Hoelen

Hoelen is a mushroom that primarily grows on the base of Chinese red pine trees. The herb belongs to the polyporaceae family and does not resemble the typical mushroom shape with a stalk and cap. Hoelen is, instead, a decayed wood fungi containing enzymes which damage the root of trees and its wood structure, according to ITMOnline.org. The unusual mushroom is used in many herbal breast-reduction products, but there is no conclusive evidence that hoelen actually contributes to breast reduction. Exercise caution when using hoelen.

    Guarana

Guarana, present in nearly all herbal breast-reduction supplements, is a dried paste made from the climbing shrub Paullinia cupana, found most commonly in South America. The paste contains tannins and caffeine and is the main ingredient in a South American stimulant drink, according to Britannica.com. Its caffeine content is significantly higher than that of typical coffee or caffeinated drinks in the U.S. Guarana is also often used for herbal teas and in capsule supplements. No definitive studies have been conducted to support claims that guarana promotes breast reduction. Exercise caution when using guarana.

    Fennel

Fennel is commonly used in breast-reduction products. It is also used as medicine, as its seeds have been known to relieve flatulence and chronic coughs, according to Botanical.com. The herb is native to much of Europe and has been harvested as far east as India. Fennel is high in vitamin C, dietary fiber, potassium and manganese, according to WHFoods.org, and may help prevent inflammation. There is no conclusive scientific evidence that fennel can reduce breast size. Exercise caution when using fennel.

    Ginger Root

Ginger root has long been used for medicinal purposes in Indian, Asian and Arabic herbal traditions, according to the University of Maryland Medical Center, or UMMC. The herb, a common ingredient in breast-reduction supplements, has been known to help treat diarrhea, nausea, arthritis and heart conditions. Ginger root is also often used in food preparation and has been known to help cure common colds and flu-like symptoms.

The herb is native to Asia and the root portions are said to contain volatile oils and phenol compounds, like shogaols and gingerols, according to the UMMC website. No hard scientific evidence exists that can prove or disprove ginger root's effects on breast reduction. Exercise caution when using ginger root.
